Negative taken for June 14, 1961, Arkansas Gazette article "Traces of Old Galloway College Still Found at Harding," B1:2. Harding College in Searcy, White County, Arkansas began in 1924 when two junior colleges, Arkansas Christian College and Harper College of Harper, Harper County, Kansas, merged. In 1934 the new institution took over the property of what had been Galloway Woman's College, which was in operated from 1888 to 1933.
